Thanks!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! There is so much I am thankful for this year, I don't even know where to begin.  It has been such a roller coaster of a year and I'm so happy to be able to say that it has ended on a very high note as of this Thanksgiving.
With everything that has happened this year, one of the many things that I'm thankful for, though small, is this little blog right here.  It served as a distraction in the hardest of times, and continues to be one of my favorite hobbies.  And I even ended up having a few readers at the end of it all, so to you, Thanks! :)

First Snow Fall!

We had our first snow fall yesterday. It's already gone today but I'm sure there's a lot more where that came from and I can't wait to go skiing this year.  If I'm lucky, Eric said we might be able to go out west!  All in all I think it's going to work out to be a pretty awesome Holiday Season.  I hope you have a great one too!  Well, I'll leave you with this little fortune that I got yesterday that I think we can all go by. :)

What Summer Dress?

My goal this year has been to maximize the use of everything in my closet.  This "summer" dress is no exception.  Usually it's worn with a white belt and some sandals or stilettos, but all it takes to winterize it is a little bit of layering, some black sweater tights, black boots and a black belt to finish the look.  What items would you dare to ware all year long that you normally wouldn't? Oh, and did I mention it gets dark at like 4:30pm now?!

White & Brown

This combination of brown and white has to be one of my favorites for any season.  I recently got this top at the ski expo from the Downhill Threads table.  At the expo, I had the pleasure of meeting the cute couple that started the business back in 2012 with just a few t-shirts at first.  Their mission is to allow ski fanatics to showcase their love for skiing year-round.  They have some of the cutest shirts, this being one of my favorites, and they're pretty cool people too, so check them out!

Month's Recap

There is so much I need to catch you up on! So bear with me as I'll try to keep it short and sweet.

At the beginning of the month I had my friend's baby shower which was just perfectly done. She has the greatest taste and I swear she could have her own DIY blog and/or Pinterest page. And it was so great to see all the girls! Congrats again Kara!
The next week was me just getting into the daily grind - head down with blinders on not even acknowledging the world around me. I have a tendency to do this sometimes, which is a really bad habit and my friends especially pay the price.  It's the true friends though that are always waiting for me with open arms on the other side.

After that, I got to hang out with one of those very friends all day and spend some QT with her and her son!  Then that Saturday, I got to go to a wine tasting party and learn all about how wine is supposed to be enjoyed.  There are rules, people! Not that I would shame anyone, including myself, for not f…
